Fitoor Starring (Katrina Kaif,  Aditya Roy Kapoor) And Sanam Re Starring (Pulkit Samrat, Yami Gautam) were released on the same day last week on 12th Feb, 2016.

Fitoor is a passionate romantic drama circulating around Noor (Aditya Roy Kapur), Firdaus (Katrina Kaif) & Begum (Tabu). Noor the very powerful character played by Aditya roy kapur in Fitoor follows his heart and cant think of anything else than Firdaus (Katrina kaif) from the first time he saw her, who belongs to a rich elite family in Kashmir. Its the journey of Noor from nothing to something worth keeping, as he grows and then shatter again in search of winning Firdaus. Apart from a story line which keeps audience gripped, it carries a artistic value and scenic beauty of Kashmir. Aditi Rao Hydari also played a soulful character fighting for her love & then loosing her beloved while depicting young begum (Tabu).

On the other hand, Sanam Re which is also a romantic drama fails to create the magic due to numerous edits and lack of flow of continuous events. Its a love story of Akash (Pulkit Samrat) and Shruti (Yami Gautam), as they meet and depart. Bharti Singh as baba ji did justice and played brilliantly around the fun loving character, and provided great comic additions. Rishi Kapoor is outstanding as Akash’s Dadu, and this great bonding could be one of the reasons one could go for Sanam Re.

Both the films Fitoor & Sanam re have captured audiences hearts with great music. But clearly Fitoor takeover Sanam re when it comes to a story line & performances. Despite mixed reviews from the critics, Sanam Re is ahead of fitoor when it comes to box office collection of first three days.
